Fitting them
Installation
Plenty of these go out to people fitting them themselves, and plenty go out to trades fitting them for somebody else. Both are normal.

Fitting them yourself
Shaker cabinets on a plywood box are about as straightforward as cabinets get. If you are comfortable with a level, a stud finder and a drill, a straight run is a weekend. Corners, out of square walls and the sink base are where the time goes.
Taking them flat pack means building the boxes first, which on a full kitchen is most of a day. Taking them assembled removes that, at the cost of needing a clear route in.
Having them fitted
Our owner spent fifteen years in general contracting before he sold cabinets, so installation is something he can talk about properly rather than hand off. Ask when you request a price and he will tell you what is available for your job and what it would cost.
What you will need either way
- Fillers, because the walls will not be square
- Shims, for the same reason as the floor
- A plan for the worktop, which is a separate trade and a separate lead time
- Someone to reconnect the plumbing and any gas
The cabinet order covers the first two. What a full kitchen needs goes through them.
