What we collect, and what we do not
Privacy
Short version: we collect what you type into a form so we can quote your job, and nothing else. No tracking, no advertising pixels, no selling anything to anybody.

Who we are
Best Shaker Cabinets, Centerville, Ohio. This policy covers this website and the enquiries that come through it. If you want to ask about anything here, call the shop on 937 776 1717.
What we collect
Only what you give us. There are four places on this site where you can send us something, and each one asks for the least it can:
- A price request or a sample visit. Your name, email address, phone number if you give one, delivery ZIP code, which rooms you are doing, the finish if you have picked one, and anything you write in the notes box.
- The measuring worksheet. The measurements of your rooms, and any photographs you choose to upload. Nothing is sent to us until you press the button, and a part-finished worksheet is saved only in your own browser until then.
- The delivery ZIP checker. This one is worked out inside your browser. The ZIP code you type is not sent to us or stored anywhere.
We use all of it for one thing: to work out a price and get back to you. We do not use it to build a profile, we do not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for, and we do not sell it or hand it to anyone who wants to market to you.
What this site does not do
This is unusual enough to be worth saying plainly. As of today this website:
- sets no cookies at all for ordinary visitors
- runs no analytics, no Google Analytics, no heatmaps, no session recording
- carries no advertising or social media pixels from Meta, Google, TikTok or anyone else
- loads no third-party fonts, scripts, videos or embeds. Everything on the page comes from our own servers
Nothing about your visit leaves this site unless you fill in a form and send it.
Phone calls
Calls to the number on this site are answered by a virtual receptionist service that works for us. It takes your name, your number and what you need, books an appointment if you want one, and passes the details straight to us so that nothing gets missed. It keeps a log of each call: the number you called from, when you called, how long it lasted and what you asked for. If a call is ever recorded you will be told at the start of it, before you say anything.
Who else sees your information
As few people as possible, and only companies doing a job we need done:
- our website host, which stores the enquiry
- our email provider, which carries the notification to us
- the service that answers our phone, for calls only
If you place an order and pay online, the card details go directly to the payment processor and never touch our website or our servers. We see that a payment succeeded and the last four digits, nothing more.
We will also hand something over if the law genuinely requires it. That has never happened and we would tell you if it did, unless we were forbidden to.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while we are quoting and for two years afterwards, because kitchens get postponed and people come back. After that they are deleted. If you place an order we keep the order record for seven years, which is what tax and warranty obligations require.
What you can ask us to do
Ask us for a copy of what we hold on you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call the shop or reply to any email from us and we will do it. There is no form and no process. If you ask us to delete your details we will, unless it is attached to an order we are legally required to keep a record of, and we will tell you if that is the case.
Keeping it safe
The site runs over an encrypted connection, enquiries are stored on a server only we can reach, and the number of people who can see them is small. No website can promise perfect security and we are not going to pretend otherwise, but we hold very little and we hold it for a reason.
Children
This site is for people buying cabinets. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16.
If this changes
If we add analytics, advertising or anything else that watches what you do here, this page gets updated before it goes live, not afterwards. The date below tells you when it last changed.
